Release history

One row per release, newest first. Each version is tagged in git by CI. A push to dev is a patch release (vX.Y.Z+1); a merge to main is a minor release (vX.Y+1.0).

VersionDateWhat changed
v0.5.625 Oct 2026E09 built and measured: one Alpine x86 guest with Alpine's Landlock kernel and the CLI, booted by v86 in a browser tab and in Node, and the same binaries through chroot on the host kernel; hello 6 of 6 in all three (Linux in the browser, Evidence §9). Five example Process Behaviour Policies, P0 a hello world to P4 sgit, run natively and in the guest (Mockups and experiments). Found on the way: the ELF interpreter must be executable, and v86 needs no special headers.
v0.5.525 Oct 2026Ruflo and ruv.sgit: rUv's projects (Ruflo, formerly Claude Flow; agentic-flow; ruv-swarm; RuVector; MetaHarness; RVM; flow-nexus) in SHarness's terms, what ruv.sgit.ai integrated (a mandate per agent compiled into Ruflo's policy engine, with its POC1 numbers; memory in sgit vaults), where the two halves meet point by point (hooks, the policy engine, the MCP registry, the spawn path, API keys, memory, networking, the anchor), a swarm under the harness, and what to do first.
v0.5.425 Oct 2026A new section, the landscape: policies at the centre (SHarness as the reference implementation of Process Behaviour Policies; products as integration points and translation targets; the three questions), the enforceability matrix (policy rows × enforcers, with the barrier kind per cell), integration points product by product, and the market analysis moved here. Linux in the browser: a real kernel in a tab can run Landlock; the options, the recommended v86 build, what a browser never shows (E09). In the CLI: policy translate to bwrap, docker, claude-code and kubernetes, with the gap listed (E10).
v0.5.325 Oct 2026Memory and process-count caps measured: sharness-ai run applies process.max_memory_mb and max_pids as rlimits and cgroups, hello runs a sixth probe under a 128 MiB cap (6 of 6 held); the rows move from designed to measured on Containment, Evidence §9, The code, Flows and Examples. The 404 page's links made absolute.
v0.5.225 Oct 2026The site restructured into five sections, each with a hub: design (the brief is its index), code, evidence, explain and project; sources under content/, tools under tools/, nine folders at the root instead of twenty-four; 404.html sends every old address to its new one. New pages: Containment (can every process be constrained, how far hostile code is held, by threat class), The code (where everything is, module by module), Flows (what happens when run and hello run, and what the launcher adds), Examples (every command with its output), Languages (Python first; Rust for the KMS and the bash client; roadmap decision 11), Explain; the status page as markdown.
v0.5.124 Oct 2026The brief: SHarness in one read, with four drawn diagrams (the moving parts, one request end to end, the whole surface of a process, the spectrum). What a process can do: the whole surface, one row per interface, what bounds it, what was measured, what is not covered: a virtual operating system for one process. The spectrum: five profiles from a hello world to sgit and the compatibility map for sgit's next version, with two sgit commands measured under a v0 policy. The versioning rule: a push to dev is a patch release, a merge to main a minor one, enforced by CI.
v0.5.024 Oct 2026Market and competitive analysis: what exists that does part of what SHarness is designed to do (sandboxes and runtimes, guardrails, MCP and tool security, LLM gateways, secrets and identity, enterprise platforms, standards), every row sourced and dated, five rows re-checked on their primary pages; where SHarness sits, what to reuse, direct competitors and complements, honest gaps, market signals with numbers, and the threats to the thesis.
v0.4.024 Oct 2026Research, mockups, experiments and storyboards. A research note: the published design read in full, what holds up, what to improve, what this release did. Mockups and experiments: the ladder from the browser to the launcher, experiments E01 to E08 (E01 to E04 runnable in the CLI: probe, policy hash, run, hello; E04 measured, Evidence §9), and the comparison with Claude Code's own sandbox. Two browser mockups: the policy hash (the same hash as the CLI) and the edge matrix. Three storyboards in the storyboards.sgit.ai kit with a cast of four, gen_storyboards.py and the kit's validator in the gate. The CLI page as markdown with the first version of sharness-ai as proposed. Agents §2 (hooks documented; the sandbox), Policies §9 and §10, Roadmap (two decisions, two open), About. Article: The first experiments.
v0.3.124 Oct 2026Completeness pass against the sgit design pack 00–04: the glossary (Architecture); the command flows, what changes against handover.md, and two notes on key holding (Keys); the harnessed app's own role (Components); the schema's entry line (Policies); what the probes left behind (Evidence §8); how this pack relates to sgit's (Documents).
v0.3.024 Oct 2026Articles, in the newsroom's format: A secure harness for agents (Dinis Cruz, from voice memo 01) and What shipped on day one (sharness.build); gen_articles.py and gate check 6; voice memo 01 published in full; its guidance on the Roadmap (memo guidance, decisions 7 and 8) and Policies (§10, file and network behaviour policies); The name and Who writes here on About; the evolution on cli.sgit.ai on Documents.
v0.2.024 Oct 2026The design, published for review: eleven pages ported from the SHarness design pack (why, architecture, components, keys and the KMS, Process Behaviour Policies, agents and LLMs, enforcing the process tree, evidence, roadmap, about, source documents), each with a markdown twin that is its source; the pack itself verbatim under briefs/; a new front page from the brief's seed text; status pill design; command name sharness-ai; gen_pages.py and its CI check.
v0.1.124 Oct 2026Comms: R2 (Pages, custom domain, dev deploys) marked done, confirmed by the v0.1.0 deploy.
v0.1.024 Oct 2026First version: front page, the CLI page, the honest column, admin pages, the gate (validate.js), the chrome tool, the generators, and the validate → tag → deploy pipeline to GitHub Pages.
